Lisa M. Davis L.Ac. is a licensed professional, for 30 years practicing acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy (CST), and massage therapy. Her practice also offers Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional support, and lifestyle counseling.
Experience – In her 30 years of practice, Lisa has experience in treating and relieving pain syndromes of the head, neck, shoulder, hip, back and joints. She has successfully treated patients dealing with a wide range of issues including migraines, sciatic pain, Bell’s palsy, anxiety, depression, insomnia, arthritis, allergies, digestive disorders, as well as other conditions using her multiple modality approach.
Sports Injuries – Lisa is also well-versed in treating patients with sports injuries including both pre- and post-surgical recovery. She works with athletes of many different sports who wish to maintain their optimal physical strength and endurance while improving their recovery time.
Women’s Health – Lisa’s Women’s health experience includes treating patients who suffer from infertility, hormone imbalances, fibroids, and pre-menstrual syndrome, as well as post-partum depression, anxiety, and insomnia. She is passionate about supporting mothers and babies throughout their pregnancy and helping to facilitate a smooth delivery for both using acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, and massage.
Treatment Style – Lisa’s compassionate, integrative treatment style is gentle, nurturing and deeply relaxing to the central nervous system. This approach helps to reduce her client’s pain, stress, and anxiety and to accelerate the healing process for her client’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
Credentials – Lisa is a graduate of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, receiving both her California State Acupuncture License and her NCCAOM® National Board-Certified Acupuncturist™ License in 1991. Alongside these degrees, she studied Craniosacral Therapy (CST) through the Upledger Institute www.upledger.com completing CST 1, CST 2, SER 1, and SER 2 and became a licensed massage therapist through the Institute for Psycho Structural Balancing (IPSB) in San Diego.
Lisa further studied herbal medicine and dietary support for cancer patients with Donald Yance Jr. CN, MH, RH(AUG) through the Mederi Foundation www.donnieyance.com/mederi-foundation in 2006 completing his ETMS level 1 training program and most recently has completed the 3-year Advanced Somatic Experiencing Training program that was founded and developed by Peter Levine PhD. www.traumahealing.org/member/peter-a-levine. For the past 30 years she has studied Chinese internal martial arts of xingyiquan, baguazhang, taijiquan and qigong, as well as tui na and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with the www.NATSTA.org association and is an instructor in the organization.
